Actress Alison Steadman has been on the Isles of Scilly filming for upcoming show Britain's Smallest Islands.

The Gavin & Stacey star spent three hours on camera with local historian Richard Larn on Sunday, "creating an introduction and talking about Scilly's maritime past, what people did here in the Dark and Middle Ages, then to the 16th-17th centuries, through to today".

She has also spoken to archaeologist Katharine Sawyer and visited Lunnon Farm, Karma St Martins hotel and St Martins vineyard. She was seen dining at the Star Castle hotel on Sunday evening.

Scilly's episode is part two of the three-part BBC4 series, each an hour long.

It will be broadcast in September.
