CONSIDERATE DRIVER LEAVES DETAILS AFTER SMALL ACCIDENT

St Martin’s resident Ben Julian woke up this morning to find his garden wall damaged but there was a clue among the debris as to what had happened - a vehicle registration plate.

On an island of around 136 permanent residents it would not be too difficult to find a recently damaged vehicle, however, the task is now a lot easier as a simple online check shows the number plate belongs to a white Citroen C15 Champ Van.

It is of course possible that the number plate was removed from the vehicle and placed at the crime scene or the vehicle may have been taken without permission, so there could be several incidents for our local constabulary to investigate.

Mr Julian posted on Facebook: Would the person who failed to successfully negotiate the corner outside my house after closing time last night please rebuild my garden wall today?’

Subsequent to his Facebook post, the number plate was removed from the scene.
