SCILLY POLICE PERFORM RUNNING MAN FOR ANNA

The Isles of Scilly Police are the latest in a long line of emergency services organisations to perform the Running Man Challenge, the latest craze to sweep the Internet.

The dance was performed on Porthmellon Beach on Saturday with members of the fire service, ambulance and coastguard in attendance, as well as around fifty members of the public.

Sgt Colin Taylor said on the Police Facebook Page: ‘We 'happily' accept the Running Man Challenge from New Zealand police now that the policing minnows like NYPD, The Metropolitan Police, Police Scotland and virtually the whole of Australia's Police have warmed the crowd up.”

The dance was performed in aid of Anna Hambrook, a former Scilly resident who requires treatment for a rare form of cancer that is not available through the National Health Service.

The police have now challenged counterparts in the Falkland Islands and North America to take up the challenge.

Donations towards Anna's treatment can be made at gofundme.com.
