DANCE TEACHER CALLS FOR MORE CHA-CHA-CHAPS
The islands' resident ballroom dancing teacher has called for more men to take to the floor.
John Allsop holds lessons at Old Town Inn twice a week but there are currently more women than men taking part.
"Of course ladies need men to dance with so the men on the island, or some of them, should take up the challenge and learn to dance Ballroom style," he said on social media.
"Don't think 'real men don't dance', they do."
He added that he hopes to bring back the old tradition of "proper dances" in the evenings.
"It was a feature of the islands in the past and quite frankly there is not enough evening entertainment for visitors. A Christmas Dinner Dance would also be nice."
Lessons are free of charge and are held on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm and Saturday afternoons from 2pm.
