SEVEN STONES INN APPLIES FOR EXTENSION, NEW TERRACE

The Seven Stones Inn has applied for planning permission to build an extension.

The proposal is to construct a timber framed addition to the building to serve as a function space and dining room.

It also seeks to change the use of land immediately at the front of the pub to create a new terrace "with stepped access from the existing concrete terrace".

The Isles of Scilly Council's planning committee will make a decision on the application at its meeting on January 24.

Senior Planning Officer Lisa Walton has recommended that the proposals be approved.
