Tickets have gone on sale for the 11th annual Walk Scilly.

Taking place from April 1 to 7, the seven-day walking festival will offer 29 walks around the islands.

New offerings for 2017 include a "ghoulish ghost walk" through Hugh Town and a visit to the uninhabited island of Nornour with local archaeologist Dr Katharine Sawyer as part of a boat trip around the Eastern Isles with seabirder and photographer Joe Pender. There will also be opportunities to visit Samson and St Helen's.

There will be a chance to experience beachcombing with the Wildlife Trust’s Nikki Banfield or St Martins jewellery designer Fay Page, a tour of Troytown Farm with owner Tim Hicks, a walk on St Martins with flower farmer Zoe Julian and an exploration of the "seven peaks of Bryher" with artist, fireman and gig coxswain Chris Potterton. Will Wagstaff will also be leading wildlife adventures across the islands.

Evening events include a welcome party at The Mermaid,  sunset drinks and canapes at Juliet’s Garden, an evening at the Isles of Scilly Museum, an acoustic folk night at the Bishop & Wolf and a candlelit performance of violin and woodwind by Duo Prospero at Old Town Church.
