PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR HELIPORT GROWS

The number of public comments submitted to Cornwall Council in support of the proposed new heliport in Penzance has grown to 1,215.

Over 500 submissions have been made this week alone.

Meanwhile the objections have risen from four to six.

Applicant Robert Dorrien-Smith (pictured right) referred to the ‘extraordinary levels of support’ he had received at a meeting prior to submitting the plans and the support could grow further still.

The 21-day consultation period ends on Thursday, 3rd November so there is still time to register your message of support or concern.

The easiest way to submit comments is by email to planning@cornwall.gov.uk.

Alternatively, the application can be viewed and commented on at Cornwall Council's website or messages can be sent by post at Planning, Cornwall Council, County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY.

All correspondence should quote reference PA16/09346.
