SCILLY TO FEATURE ON TV SHOW IN COMING WEEKS

One of the TV shows filmed on Scilly this summer is to air in the coming weeks.

Actress Alison Steadman visited the islands for several days in July filming Little British Isles.

The first episode in what is believed to be a three-part series will air on Channel 4 at 8pm on October 19, focusing on the Scottish islands. The Isles of Scilly episode is thought to be the second instalment.

Little British Isles sees Steadman find out 'what life is like on some of Britain's 267 inhabited islands, celebrating their wild beauty and meeting the people who call them home'.

During her time on Scilly, the Gavin & Stacey star spoke to local historian Richard Larn and archaeologist Katharine Sawyer. She also visited Lunnon Farm, Karma St Martins hotel and St Martins vineyard, as well as the Camera Obscura at Buzza Tower.

Scilly's episode of Countrywise, also filmed in July, aired on September 9.
