St Martin's Film Festival kicks off today with a showing of the fantasy adventure Labyrinth at 2pm.

The four-day event, now in its third year, will screen three films a day in the Seven Stones Inn, as well as a selection of short films.

This year's movies include The Commitments, The Big Lebowski and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

There are around 50 seats for each screening allocated on a first-come/first-served basis, although there is plenty of room to stand at the back of the pub.

There is no charge but donations are encouraged. Organiser Warren Neill said: "The event is not for profit - far from it!  It is a community event, at a time of year when we think it would be great to kick back, have some pizza & dogs and watch some movies on a big screen."

Food will be served as normal in the Seven Stones Inn at lunchtime, with "good movie stodge" following in the evening - popcorn, hot dogs, pizza, ice-cream etc.
