The Annual Careers Convention will take place at Five Islands School on Thursday.

This is an opportunity for students from Years 10 and 11 to attend a series of workshops and talk to representatives from colleges, schools, Falmouth University, the Council, and the world of enterprise in general.

In the evening, Year 11 students and their parents/carers/guardians are invited between 6.00pm – 8.00 pm.

The event is then open to everyone who might find it useful from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

Careers Librarian Penny Rogers said: “A couple of the delegates (Digital Peninsula Network and Outset Cornwall) are combining the trip with workshops on the Friday (30th) for local businesses, which seems to be a beneficial use of time.

“We also have a visit from the Receiver of Wreck and from Heritage England Maritime, which should be fascinating”.
