SCILLY JOINS WORLD'S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING
This morning's Coffee Morning at the Town Hall raised £263 for Macmillan Cancer Research.
The event, organised by Linda Banfield and colleagues, was part of the nationwide World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraiser.
There was also a raffle and games, as well as displays relating to the Porthmellon waste processing site, the fire service, elder care and the electoral roll.
Cllr Fran Grottick organised a game to guess the name of a toy rat, which Jemma Pender correctly guessed to be Ignacious.
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning takes place around the country on September 30 but the Town Hall is in use on the day.
The organisers thanked all those who attended or donated a raffle prize for their support.
