DAIRY CARING FOR CARERS

The Dairy Cafe on St Mary's is opening a new carers cafe club.

The scheme, which gives a 10% discount on hot food and drinks, is open to all genuine local carers.

Owner Yve Peck wrote on Facebook: "You don't have to be a registered carer to benefit from the club, however we would encourage non-registered carers to become registered to benefit from other help available on Scilly and there will be advice available at this event to guide you.

"Carers will be issued a Carers Cafe Club card to present when they make a purchase - and there's no limit to the number of times you can take advantage of the scheme. It is free to join and there are NO hidden catches."

The Dairy Cafe will hold its first Carers Lunch at noon on Friday, August 5.

Yve added: "It'll be a great opportunity to take a little time out and meet with other local carers in a very relaxed and informal setting - and here's an incentive to pop along August 5 - ALL hot drinks will be free of charge for Carers on the day and we'll throw in some biscuits too! Now, we can't say fairer than that, hey?"
