The Inner Wheel Club of the Isles of Scilly has organised an Open Gardens Day to be held on Monday.

Five gardens in the Holy Vale, Maypole and Pelistry areas will be open to the public from 11am to 5pm. Tickets are £6 and are on sale now at the TIC and in the gardens on the day.


The gardens are:
Polmennor, Pelistry (Sue & Willie Williams)
Vale View Cottage, Maypole (Mike & Anne Gurr)
Arden Craig, Maypole (June Lethbridge)
Middle Tinks, Holy Vale (Kay & John Banfield) NB Just the little garden opposite their house.
Chy Mengleth, Holy Vale (Lynda & Roger Whyte)


Homemade cakes and cream teas will also be on sale at the Vineyard & Winery from 11.30am to 4.30pm.


The generosity of locals and visitors in attending this event has raised £4,705 for various charities over the last three years.


This year all proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Society.
