ROTARY CLUB FAMILY FUN DAY RAISES OVER £1200

The Isles of Scilly Rotary Club raised at least £1,200 with their Family Fun Day last month.

The event, run in conjunction with the ladies of the Inner Wheel, is the group's biggest fundraiser of the year.

Treasurer Barry Archer said that £1,220 is the provisional amount, with more invoices still to come in.

The money will go to Rotary Club and Inner Wheel charities.

In other fundraising news, Scilly Hu-Ha has raised £16,000 to help towards Anna Hambrook's immunotherapy.

Merryn Smith wrote on the group's Facebook page: ‘Add to that the £3,000 that was raised in the "Aftermath" of the IOSPD Running Man and the various donations that have gone direct to the GoFundMe page and we have reached the planned £20,000 total.

‘With the Hu-Ha money transferred, it brings the grand fundraising total to a little over £94,000 and the people of Scilly, their friends and families and the myriad of visitors have played no small part in that.’
