The stress-free option

Make sure you have travel insurance.

We recommend that you combine your trip to Scilly with a couple of nights in Cornwall.

Book your outward journey from Stanstead Sunday to Friday and spend a night in Newquay before travelling on Skybus the following day at 1:50pm, arriving on St Mary's at 2:20pm when your accommodation is all ready for you. If you travel on Saturday then spend two nights in Cornwall.

On the return leg enjoy another overnight stay in Newquay, flying from St Mary's at 12:50pm the day before your flight back to Stanstead. In the event of bad weather or poor visibility you may have an option to transfer to the boat, Scillonian III, which usually leaves St Mary's at 4.30pm and arrives in Penzance at 7:15pm - there are slight variations owing to tides. Transport between Newquay and Penzance can be arranged in advance to ensure you make your flight home the following day.
