Fly to the Isles of Scilly from Newcastle via Exeter
Flights depart Newcastle Monday to Friday at either 9:10pm or 9:15pm, on Saturdays at 1.35pm and on Sundays at either 10:15am or 10:30am.
Option 1: For midweek flights you will require an overnight stay in Exeter.
Option 2: Flights departing on Saturday at 1:35pm arrive in Exeter at 2:50pm. The ideal Skybus flight departs Exeter at 4:15pm, arriving in St Mary’s at 5:15pm.
Option 3: For Sunday flights you will require an overnight stay in Exeter.
At St Mary's Airport there will be transport waiting to take you to your accommodation. If you are travelling to another island the driver will drop you off at the quay to meet your boat.

When the driver drops you off it is advisable to book your return trip to the airport for your day of departure.
Return flights from Exeter to Newcastle depart at 7.30 - 7.35pm Monday to Friday, 12:05pm on Saturday and either 8:35am or 8:50am on Sunday.
For flights departing Exeter Monday to Friday you can book a Skybus flight from St Mary's at 2:45pm, which will arrive in Exeter at 3:45pm.
For flights departing Exeter on Saturday at 12:05pm you can book a Skybus flight from St Mary's at 9:55am, which will arrive in Exeter at 10:55am.
For flights departing Exeter on Sunday you will require an overnight stay in Exeter.
The stress-free option
The frequency of flights makes trips to the Isles of Scilly from Newcastle conducive to both long and short breaks. We believe the best option is to travel midweek and book an overnight stay in Exeter either side of your islands experience.
Make sure you have travel insurance.
Book a midweek flight from Newcastle and spend the evening in Exeter. Have a relaxing evening and come to Scilly the following morning feeling refreshed on the Skybus flight at 10:40am.
Book a midweek return flight from Exeter to Newcastle for 7.30pm, Monday to Friday and spend the evening in Exeter, having flown from St Mary's at 2:45pm. In the event of bad weather or poor visibility you may have an option to transfer to the boat, Scillonian III, which usually leaves St Mary's at 4.30pm and arrives in Penzance at 7:15pm - there are slight variations owing to tides. Transport from Penzance to Exeter can be arranged in advance to ensure you make your flight home the following day.
